This blood-red pomegranate margarita is the perfect addition to your Halloween festivities. Pomegranate juice is the perfect compliment to your classic margarita, and its deep red color provides the right amount of spookiness.
Salted or not salted, it is definitely a personal choice. But I couldn’t resist the Hawaiian black lava salted rim. The natural earthy, smoky flavor adds an intensity every Halloween cocktail should have.
This recipe is perfect for one large margarita, or two small ones depending on your plans for the evening. Either way, this is a margarita to enjoy on a spooky Halloween night or any night of the year.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces silver tequila
- 2 ounces triple sec
- 4 ounces pomegranate juice
- juice of half a lime
- black lava salt to garnish rim
Instructions
- Mix the tequila, triple sec, pomegranate juice and fresh lime juice.
- When you are ready to serve, run a lime along the rim of your glass, then dip in a small plate of black lava salt. Fill your glass with ice and pour the margarita mixture into the glass.
