All the flavors of your favorite buffalo wings in a convenient meatball. These chicken meatballs on their own are packed with flavor then coated with a buttery spicy buffalo sauce. I took them one step further and incorporated delicious tangy blue cheese right into the meatball.
Baking the meatballs makes this fun appetizer even easier and keeps them tender and juicy. With a blue cheese dipping sauce for the blue cheese lovers in our lives.
You can be adventurous with the buffalo sauce and add or reduce the amount of hot sauce to find that perfect level of heat. I used Frank’s RedHot because it is my all time favorite hot sauce.

Ingredients
Chicken and Blue Cheese Meatballs
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 3 cloves garlic grated
- 1 egg whisked
- 3 tbsp unseasoned bread crumbs
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ small onion grated
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly cracked pepper
- 5 oz blue cheese crumbles
Buffalo Sauce
- 3 ounces unsalted butter
- 1 small clove garlic grated
- ¼ cup hot sauce Frank's RedHot
- ½ tsp salt
Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ Greek Yogurt
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green onion
- Salt and freshly cracked pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, mix the chicken, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, grated onion, salt and pepper. Gently fold in the blue cheese crumbles.
- Form into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. Place formed meatballs onto a lined baking sheet and cook until the meatballs are golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, roughly 25 minutes.
- While the meatballs are cooling go ahead and start your buffalo sauce. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat along with the minced garlic. Pour this, along with the hot sauce and salt into a medium sized bowl. Add in your meatballs and gently stir to sufficiently cover the meatballs with the buffalo sauce.
- Serve with toothpicks and eat by themselves or dip in the blue cheese dipping sauce. To make the blue cheese dipping sauce simply combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl until combined, stirring while keeping some of the blue cheese crumbled intact.
